A Bit of Reading...

Over my holiday break, I've been doing a lot of reading. Yes, I realize this might make me seem lame, but I actually enjoy reading for fun. For my birthday my younger sister got me the book Girl Online. Below i've decided to review the book for you. Enjoy.

I know you shouldn't ever judge a book by it's cover, but when the cover is as cute as this one it's hard not to pick the book up. Girl Online is written by one of my favorite Youtubers, Zoe Sugg. This is another factor that drew me to the book. When I picked it up to read I hoped it would be good, but I really wasn't sure what to expect. I'm happy to say the book met all of my expectations and possibly even exceeded them.

The Story is a sweet story about a young girl named Penny, who deals with panic attacks, boys, school drama and an ever so popular anonymous blog. I liked Penny, because her personality and issues that she deals with I feel are relatable to most girls. In the book Elliot is the only one who knows about her ever so popular blog where she goes under the name Girl Online. Hence the name of the title. The story takes place in Brighton and also New York City. Penny lives with her family and best friend Elliot in Brighton, but towards the middle of the story they get the chance to go to New York. Going to New York helps Penny escape school drama for a while. With out giving to much away, I will tell you her adventures in New York City with a boy named Noah were my favorite.

Overall this was a cute book and since I read a lot of books and different types of books, I didn't think it was a challenging read. This is good, because then it appeals to a wider audience of all ages and reading levels. I would recommend you read this book, because you won't be disappointed and it goes perfectly with a warm cup of tea or coffee if you prefer.

Love the book worm,
Nina

Celebrate!

I'm now officially 19! On the sixth of January I celebrated what is now my last teen year. The thought that I will no longer be a teenager next year is frightening. Let's not focus on that now though, lets focus on this year. For my birthday, I spent the entire day with my family, as I would have it no other way. We spent the day shopping, and then went out to dinner at an odd, but good restaurant. My mom had looked up a place for us to eat the night before and came across The Chatterbox Pub. The food was very good, and lets just say the restaurant itself had bright blue walls covered in nicknacks.  I wish I would have snapped a photo. Lastly, I have to tell you I got the coolest birthday gift this year. My parents bought me a record player and a Taylor Swift record. My sister also bought records for me, including Ellie Goulding, The Sound Of Music, and The Music Man. To say that this makes me overjoyed is an understatement. It made my wonderful birthday just that much better.

Love (from an older and "wiser"),
Nina

Merry & Bright

Hello! I hope everyone had a good holiday and New Years! I spent the holiday and New Year at home with my family. It was a very relaxed and I had a lovely time. We went and saw the movie Into The Woods the other day, and I would highly recommend going to see it. My sisters and I have been singing the music from it for days now. Wishing you all the best in the New Year. Happy 2015.
Love,
Nina
