Records

I never realized how pricey records were until I had my own record player. This being said, the other week my mother and I stopped by a local thrift store in search of unscratched records. I was happily surprised to find quite a few and only paid fifty cents for each. What a bargain :). I ended up with a total of five mostly unscratched records. These included Mahalia Jackson, Hello Dolly, My Fair Lady, Andy Williams and Amy Grant. They are all quite wonderful classics and my favorite one by far is Mahalia Jackson, because she has the most wonderful voice. It's great to have more records to add to my collection, because you can only listen to the same four so many times. If you have any you think I should add to my collection, let me know in the comments. Hope you are having a good week.
Love always,
Nina

Ice Fishing

This weekend My whole family including two of my cousins, my aunt, and two of my uncles participated in an ice fishing tournament in my home town. This year the person who caught the heaviest fish won an ice house. No one in my family ended up catching the winning fish, but I was the only one out of the family that caught any fish! I was impressed with myself, considering I only go fishing once a year and it's at this event. I ended up catching two tiny fish in the end! I didn't win anything for them, but I didn't care. All that mattered to me was that I was able to catch fish. This is the second year my family participated in the ice fishing challenge. Everyone takes it very seriously except us. we try our best, but it's really just for fun. I always laugh because my younger sister, and I have bright colored winter coats and everyone else on the ice is wearing camouflage or dark colors. Basically my sister and I stick out like sore thumbs.  All in all I had an incredible weekend and I hope you all did too.

Love from an ice fishing "expert",
Nina
